Hey there and welcome back to Talk Travel to Me. I'm your host Kristy Ouellette and I am here to say I have over extended myself. Yep, the question of the week I'm going to answer this week is what do you do when you hit the wall and you have 150 different competing interests banging on your front door? So my advice to people that might be dealing with that, maybe me, maybe you, is you take a deep breath, figure out what your absolute priorities are and then make a plan to make those happen without losing all of your marbles. So in the last week and a half, two weeks, I have to tell you our business has exploded. We are experiencing what can only be called a fall wave season. In the travel industry, normally we have wave season, which is like an influx of business, typically from January, like right after the holidays through mid April. And that's when people book the most of their vacations for the entire year. And it's something we can plan and we know is coming and we're like, okay, we'll go through the holidays, spend time with families and then maybe see our family in mid April. Right? That's how it works. Right now we are experiencing, we have been joking and the agency about it possibly being called a tsunami season. But we're an absolute increase of requests for new travel bookings, lots of last minute travel bookings. As I'm recording this right now, it is, what even day is it? My goodness, it is Thursday, September 3rd. This podcast or a podcast should have been dropped this morning at 5 a.m. And it is literally almost five o'clock on September 3rd. And this morning I was up early booking a cruise, a seven night Disney treasure cruise for clients that are setting sail on October 3rd. Yeah, one month from today. First time cruisers. I am so excited for them. But that's just one of the many like things that have. just come out of thin air lately. And then, of course, Disney released Disneyland bookings for all of 2027 last week. And then on Monday morning of this week, we started booking late 27, early 28 Disney Cruise Line bookings. Each morning has been a different one. And it has been so much fun, but so intense. So every day my husband, Eric, as you know, edits a podcast, he's like, so what's the plan for the podcast? And I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah, I have the questions I want to answer. I want to do it. I want to lay out a bunch of them. And here it is Thursday at almost five o'clock and he knocks on the wall between our offices and he said, hey, what's the plan for the podcast today? So I'm calling uncle or however you say in your neck of the woods, because I think that might be a New England thing. And I'm just going to say that as much as I love recording this podcast, I need to go on hiatus for a bit. I will be back in October. I have it on my calendar for our next episode to. drop on October 1st. And I know it's going to be a good one because I have a list of. I think there was 18 or 19 things last time I looked at my list of questions. I want to answer for you. And I just can't do that right this moment. We've got to prioritize. Right. And I know as you're listening to this, even if you are a diehard talk, travel to me fan, you know what it's like when you have times in your life when things just start going off the rails and you've got to pull it back together. So that's where I am. Of course, I'm not going anywhere. Like I'm still existing. I would love to have you follow me on my social media channels. I am on Instagram and TikTok as at @MickeyGuruTravel. And I will be posting stories. I'll be sharing things. But as far as the podcast goes, I want to do episodes that are worthy of you listening to. And if I just sat here and started rattling off things, I don't know that that would be helpful for you. And it certainly would be magical for. me. So with that said, I appreciate so much that you listen. I hope that you'll subscribe so that the moment we're back on October the 1st, you will be among the very first to know that the new episode, new season of Talk Travel to Me is back and we will be ready to enjoy the podcast. We will be ready to enjoy the fall together. Look forward to holiday vacations and also all of 2027, which I don't know. I'm hoping it's going to be significantly better than 2026, but we're not going to. we're not going to put too much pressure on ourselves, right? All right, friends. Thank you so much for listening.
